Wraparound Care
At Howden le Wear Primary School we offer both a Breakfast Club and an After School Childcare Club which children are able to access.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club operates daily during term times.
We off two breakfast club options:
Early Birds Breakfast Club
Cost:
- £2.10 per day for Reception to Year 6 pupils
- £2.60 per day for Nursery children (due to higher staffing ratio requirements)
What is included?
- Supervised childcare
- A choice of cereal, toast, bagels, yoghurt, fruit, pastries and juice.
Important Information:
- Children must arrive from 7.45am but before 8.10am
- Sessions must be booked via Arbor.
- A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for bookings
Free Breakfast Club
Cost:
- Free of charge
What is included?
- Supervised childcare
- A choice of cereal, toast, fruit and juice.
Important Information:
- Places must be booked via Arbor, with at least 24 hours’ notice
- We are unable to accept children who have not been booked in advance.
- Children must arrive between 8.15am and 8.20am
- The gates will close at 8.20am and no further children will be admitted.
- There is a maximum capacity of 50 children per session. Once places are filled, no additional children can be accommodated due to staffing limits. We strongly encourage families to book early to avoid disappointment.
- Nursery children are not eligible for Free Breakfast Club and may only attend the Early Birds Breakfast Club.
After School Childcare
Howden-le-Wear Primary School offers a childcare facility for Reception to Year 6 pupils
- Monday to Thursday – 3.15pm – 5.00pm
- Friday – 3.15pm-4.30pm
- Cost: £7.20 per session
Each session offers a range of activities, children are provided with food and refreshments. If you wish to take advantage of our after school childcare, please see contact the school office.
